This year, we are honored to recognize RH and Patricia Webb Larson as our Parade Grand Marshals.
Both RH and Patricia were born at the maternity home (the old Snowflake fire station) and raised in Snowflake and are proud graduates of Snowflake High School. They were married in 1965 and have shared 61 years of love, service, and dedication to their family and community. Together they raised nine children—seven sons and two daughters—and their posterity has grown to a remarkable family of 107 members.
RH attended ASU and graduated from Eastern Arizona College. He later served a mission in the Eastern Atlantic States and spent 36 years working at the paper mill. Throughout his life, he has been deeply involved in church service as High Priest Leader, Elder Quorum President, and Sunday School President, and working with Boy Scouts, supporting Young Men’s sports programs, hauling wood for the widows, irrigating the church farm, and serving in the temple for 16 years, and countless years cooking for the church BBQ with Dave Wood. He has always been known for his willingness to serve and support others.
Patricia was crowned Rodeo Queen in 1963 and has devoted countless hours to community and church service. She served as Parade Chairman, worked at the Distribution Center, held leadership positions in Young Women, Primary, and Relief Society, cooked for Young Women’s camp, served on the Heritage Foundation for eight years, and dedicated 16 years to temple service. She also made costumes for many 24th of July productions and was honored with the Community Builders Award in 2013.
Together, RH and Patricia have supported school events, ballgames, concerts, and community celebrations for generations. Whether cooking for youth activities, supporting local traditions, hauling wood for those in need, or welcoming children, grandchildren and friends into their home for lunch for over 20+ years, they have exemplified the spirit of service and community.
